Gideon's sheer tenacity is commendable. Lan Wangji would have more time to dwell on how admirable it is, in fact, if that same tenacity did not have her soaring toward him with that massive sword aimed toward Bichen. Before he can spare any more thoughts, he jumps again, this time more as Gideon predicted -- directly over her head in a crisp flurry of robes. Bichen, in the meantime, arcs upward and away, releasing a slice of icy sword qi to meet Gideon's sword instead.
